About: Royal Stoke University Hospital Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

- GP referral was quick and efficient

- TRAQS team gave me plenty of options on the hospitals and appointments. I was able to ring back the next day to confirm the appointment. There had been a cancellation, so I was offered the original appointment from the day before and the new appointment 2 weeks earlier at the same hospital. I chose the appointment that was earlier.

- At my appointment I found the doctor was abrupt in speaking to me as a patient. By the end of the appointment the doctor admitted they didn’t know what was wrong with me and agreed to do an MRI scan and decided to refer me back to GP requesting that I get a referral to an orthopedic spinal consultant.

- I was happy with the outcome, overall service was good

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive comments regarding your experience of booking an appointment with the TRAQS team. I am pleased that we were able to offer an earlier date at the hospital of your Choice.

I am sorry that the Dr you saw was not able to offer a diagnosis and hope that the MRI scan and subsequent appointment with the orthopaedic consultant provide you with the answers you need. I hope everything goes well for you in the future.
