Your enquiry: Bladder problems at night. Medicinal treatment received in previous years provided certain amount of help, but condition again worsened during 2008. Saw different GP at Old Cottage, Epsom, on 13.10.08 who immediately referred me to a Urology Specialist. Saw him on 13.11.08, when I also had an ultrasound scan, which was of no help due to my having an empty bladder. (Not asked to come to appointment with a full bladder!). Given daily bladder chart survey form and Prostrate Symptom Score Questionnaire. On 26.01.09, saw GP again, who was surprised at lack of contact from specialist and immediately made contact again. Second Scan arranged for 04.03.09 (went with full bladdder!) - left two forms with nurses. At last have now received appointment with Urology specialist for 30.04.09 more than 28 weeks after first referral. How does this all stand up to the "18 weeks NHS brief?
Sent this story to the NHSdirect website and all I got back a list of other websites (including the one I had sent the message on) all of which I had already tried. Seems like the 'help' on the websites is about as good as my '18 week referral'.
"18 Weeks or not?"
