"Thanks to your care i'm still alive to tell this"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / Cardiothoracic surgery

(as the patient),

I had an aortic valve replaced but I had a fungal infection on the new valve that had to be replaced again, but the infection had spread to my spine my eye and my spleen. The doctors did not feel I would survive but the doctors never stopped trying. I lost my eye, my spleen was removed, I had plates rods and pins put in my spine. It took 7 months in hospital but I'am alive and very grateful to all the staff and doctors at the North staffs hospital for all the care I received. I could not think of any words to say thank you. All I will say is thank you from myself and my family.
