My wife gave birth in Saint George's Hospital last week (on the 25th October to be exact). Since the moment we arrived until the baby was born we had the opportunity to meet a few different people, among midwives, doctors, etc, in a pretty long process that included her ending up in the "theatre" after passing by the Carmen and Delivery suite, as the baby refused to come out after a few hours pushing. The treatment from the staff was at all times excellent: we were constantly informed about what was happening, Hilda was treated with respect and kindness by everyone and herself and the baby were looked after during the post-delivery hours on a regular basis. Every midwife, doctor, nurse, etc. involved in the process, was consistently professional, supportive, informative and kind, so in the name of my family I would like to give you all a big THANK YOU! for such a great work. Special thanks to the midwife and fellow student that were with us all along the process and who did an outstanding job: The midwife was amazing, and put us at ease, spoke to us calmly, informed us about everything that was happening & knew exactly what to do when she'd had enough. From the moment the midwife came into the room we were spoken to with warmth & compassion. And we knew we were in a safe pair of hands. We are so grateful that the midwife stayed with us from the Carmen Suite until Delivery. We couldn't have asked for better care.
"A big thank you!"
