I recently had my second knee operation at the Bev Stokes day surgery and I must say a big thankyou for the way in which I was treated. I was nervous on my arrival at the hospital, but as soon as I arrived there I found it very welcoming.
The only downside I had was how cold the unit was - myself and other patients commented about this. We were offered blankets but would have preferred the heating to have been higher.
When I had my anaesthetic the nurse could not do this straight away because my hands were so cold. After 2 attempts, the injection had to be put into my elbow.
"Thank you to staff at Bev Stokes day surgery"
