I have had the misfortune of needing to attend the minor injuries unit twice, approximately 1 year apart. Both time for flesh wounds that were serious enough to needs stiches. Ironically both accidents have happen on a late Saturday afternoon (DIY mishaps), and this is the time of both visits . Each time, I was seen immediately, and was in and out within the hour. Stiches first time around, second time discussed with the nurse and agreed that I should just about get away without stiches. My preference. I have on both occasions found the staff at the unit to be courteous, friendly and yet very professional and I am highly appreciative of the treatment that I have been given. I think that the minor injuries unit at the hospital is a fantastic concept. Prior to its discovery, my other option would have been A&E at one of the other hospitals, where in my experience, treatment for non medially urgent cases to take anything up to 6 hours.
"Great facility. Fantastic Staff. Great concept"
