"Misdiagnosis 2 years ago at NNUH"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Trauma and Orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was mis diagnosed at the NNUH with rheumatoid arthritis, and given the aggressive drugs that treat it. Thankfully my drug intolerance and needle phobia prevented me taking enough to cause damage. I was then again misdiagnosed with hypermobility and told my symptoms were in my mind pretty much. They wouldn't give me a second opinion so I went to another hospital and 2 years later I've been correctly diagnosed with M. E, EDS type 3, PTSD and depression. My mum died from EDS complications I can now be monitored properly my heart scan was delayed 2 yrs due to all this. I made a complaint. I felt like it was a complete whitewash and nothing was done.
