"High dependency unit emergency admission"

My husband was admitted from a and e , it was a shock as we were not aware how unwell he was. The staff on HDu were FANTASTIC ! My husband was treated with care and respect I cannot fault , the team were amazing , kind , patient , skilled , informative and we felt safe and that the best support was given. My husband needed to be transferred for specialist treatment at another hospital , whilst he was waiting care was delivered to the letter of the specialist at the other unit, The ward sister was a wonderful skilled, warm and strong member of staff, clearly respected by the team . A great team of highly trained people who remained compassionate and person centred, making sure my husband had his needs met , even helping him to order food not on the menu from the kitchens he could eat . Good news is that my husband is recovering and I want to ensure people are aware of the gem we have in grantham . They made a traumatic experience as positive as it could be. Each staff member should be proud of the difference they made to us as a family. Thank you HDU x
