I recently underwent two Cataract operations at Orsett Hospital and during both operations all I could hear was general gossip, during the first operation the Surgeon seemed to be asking the surgeon who was overseeing the surgeon doing my Cataract operation questions as what to do! the second operation on the other eye was with a different surgeon, he was discussing with one of the Nurses the pro's and con's as to when a Patient has to sign the consent form while performing my cataract operation !! to my knowledge the form should be signed no less than 12 hours before the Operation, in most of the cases I was with, the time was 20 minutes before the operation after having drops in your eye and having your spectacles taken from you. PS neither of them knew when the form had to be signed?
