(as the patient),

Had a lovely experience with a sure start support worker after giving birth to my third baby whilst also caring for 2 year old twins. She actively listened (properly - not like the fake smile you get from so many healthcare professionals, who think you are talking for too long) and provided practical support by helping me get out of the house to sure start toddler groups - impossible with one set of hands.

It helped me at a time when I was having a wobble - tired, sleep deprived, hormonal and a huge fall out with my mother in law all meant that I was permanently stressed and on edge. The twins benefited by getting out of the house to get some stimulation and to meet other children, which in turn helped me to manage them.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this wonderful experience in this forum, it looks like you have a very busy time caring for your young family.

It is always very much appreciated to hear from families like yours and that the staff in Sure Start have really listened and responded to your needs and have supported you in achieving this.

It sounds like your twins have had a great time participating in the brilliant activities I know the staff in West Bridgford provide and I'm sure they will use your feedback to plan and deliver great services in the future.

Thank you again for your comments - they are very much appreciated and I hope your new baby receives access to all the great activities in the future too.
