I went to my g.p. late August with a swollen abdomen, within days I had had a scan, then a consultant' s appointment, the consultant was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and clear. My date for surgery for a laparoscopic salpingo oopherectomy was within 8 weeks of my initial appointment which really minimised anxiety. Once on ward 15 I had fantastic care from every member of staff and my husband was allowed to stay. Theatre and recovery staff could also not have been more professional, supportive or reassuring. I was amazed to be allowed home the same day but am recovering well and am extremely grateful for the level of care I received. Thank you all.
