"ward 15"

About: Castle Hill Hospital

Long term ill and palliative care patients should never be left on this ward. Care during the night and at the weekend is inadequate. Bank holidays are the worst. Vital pain relief is neglected though delays and errors. One staff member repeatedly ignored requests for pain relief despite patient being palliative care. Sleep deprivation is common as there is no regard for peace and quiet during the night. No help can be sort during hand over as there is no one willing or available. Numerous complaints regarding indifference shown by staff members have been forwarded on to PALS. Totally applauded by the repeated failings I witness for the duration of my mums stay on this ward. Things were so bad we felt we were left with no other option then to remove her from the hospital and care for her ourselves at home. This ward has some of the worst ratings on this site and someone should be asking why.
