"Very unhappy with staff treatment"

About: Conquest Hospital

I was referred by my gp to the gynovology department for a lump found inside private parts around two years ago, after maybe 3/4 appointments/ woman's physio / top consultant appointments I am too nervous to even visit this hospital I have been told there is nothing wrong with me (even though they referred to phsio/ consultant) spoken to in such an unprofessional manner so uncaring about my feelings which has left me in tears at every occasion i am currently in the process of getting a private doctors opinion as I believe there is something wrong and would like to get it sorted out I have even been told by theses doctors " we don't operate on depression" can they not see this is causing me to feel depressed? I also have problems with my back passage and have spoken too in the same manner by this doctor also

Dear Barbie We are deeply saddened to read your posting on NHS choices about your contact with Gynaecology medical staff at The Conquest Hospital. What you describe is clearly causing you a lot of personal distress and we are very sorry to hear this. We would like to assure you that all comments are taken seriously and acted upon as part of our ongoing commitment to improving people’s experience. Your comments have been forwarded to the Clinical Lead for Womens Services who will be extremely concerned to read about the 'unprofessional manner' you describe in your posting. In the meantime, we would urge you to continue to discuss your health concerns with your General Practitioner. You may also wish to discuss your experience with someone completely independent of the NHS but who are able to provide support and advocacy to people who are not happy with NHS services. The is an organisation called 'Support, Empower, Advocate, Promote' (SEAP). SEAP is a free and confidential service available to all NHS service users: Their contact details are: Tel: 0300 3435709 Email: EastSussex@seap.org.uk Website: www.seap.org.uk We hope that you are able to get to the bottom of your health concerns soon so that you feel better.
