"horror of new a and e"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

I attended a and e on 13th October 2014 in absolute agony. I was greeted by the receptionist with the words "I am busy" disgraceful. I then attended triage who was lovely I must say and gave pain relief. I then waited to be sent through to a and e which I was. I was put in a cubicle that had not been cleaned bed had not been cleaned sick bowl was still there tissue on floor etc. The doctor cleaned up so I could go in there in front of me yuk yuk I refused to get on the bed sat on a chair. I explained to the male doctor I had a female issue of a cyst but had bladder condition. The male doctor seemed uncomfortable so stopped me and decided I needed a female doctor. Wouldn't bother me I was in so much pain. I waited 15 minutes and next news in middle of a and e a female doctor appeared and yelled at the top of her voice I lost my patient with rheumatoid cyst. Tell the whole world why don't you. I was appalled. I also witnessed another doctor tell an elderly patient she had a severe chest infection but not pneumonia but should go home where in the next few hours if she did get worse she could re phone the ambulance. Why not put her under observation .staff were stood around for 45 mins chatting and laughing about own personal lives when could have been doing basic patient care which is seriously lacking in this a and e. I will not e going back to this a and e and will definitely be making an official complaint to the top. I thought this a and e would be the flag ship but it is a disaster of wasted money
