"Concerned about GP service and careless about patient's health"

About: Newham PCT

(as a relative),

We had an appointment for my wife, with her GP at Royal Docks Medical Practice. We arrived before appt. and informed reception and we started waiting for the GP call. We waited for more than 30 mins past the appointment time. After 30 mins, we got the call from GP. My wife started telling the problems she has. She is having couple of health issues, GP examined my wife for the first problem, after that when my wife started telling the 2nd problem, GP stopped her and told that she don't have time and they're limited to 10mins per patient so she(GP) cannot look into that now. We managed to tell her (GP) the problem my wife is having, and GP told okay take Paracetamol to get relief of the pain, without examining or listening what we're telling. This is absolutely worrying us about the medical service we receive. If the time is limited to 10 mins per patient, then why were called after 30 mins, apart from that GP is not ready to treat us for the second the problem. Is there any rules in NHS that GPs should treat only one problem per appointment, in that case, do we need to book separate appointments for each health problems we have? We're paying all sort of taxes here and I feel we're not getting a proper service. I understand waiting is normal (also that should be reasonable with GP) but at least we should get proper treatment, which we're not receiving. I think that the NHS should give doctors more training on how to treat patients and teach them how to do their service, how to respect their job, and the importance of doctors in this society.
