"What's going on with appointments?"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I have been waiting for an appointment since June to see an endocrinologist - despite chasing I still haven't had one through. Is this normal? Also have been referred to another department by my GP three weeks ago - I don't even know when to start chasing as I haven't had an appointment for that department yet either. Have been an outpatient for five years for Opthalmology department (I know it's run by Maidstone) and never get an appointment sent through. Always have to call for an appointment and if I call the appointment line they say I am not due to see anyone - which is not correct. Not very happy about the this and I know from talking to other patients waiting that I am not the only person to experience this problem.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent experience with the endocrinology service. We welcome all feedback and would like to assure you that all comments are taken seriously and acted upon as part of our on-going commitment to improving patient experience. I am very sorry that you have not had a positive experience and I am very keen to investigate what has gone wrong and take action to improve the service we provide. Without further details I am unable to fully do this and would be very grateful if you contact me so I can speak to you directly.
