"Waiting times"

About: Good Hope Hospital

More staff is needed, got referred to hospital from my GP. Got there to be greeted with a well mannered and very helpful receptionist only to be let down with major emergancy department. I didn't be expected to be seen before other people that had been there longer than me but being pregnant with existing medical conditions you would of thought I would of been seen with sooner than sitting there watching drunken men coming in by ambulance to be seen before me. I got up and asked a nurse how long it would be before I seen a medic and she wasn't able to give me an estimated time because I had only been there waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes! She said there was a back log of people in front of me. In the end I just asked to discharge myself because I wasn't getting any care from sitting in there waiting room all night. Absolutely disgusted once again by the NHS system. A drunk gets seen to before a genuine patient, shocking where prioties lie!
