I have now had three colonoscopies at this hospital. The first one back in 2011 was fine - without sedation. The second one was carried out in 2012, again without sedation, but it was extremely painful, not helped by the 'doctor' telling me to stop moving! I have had another colonoscopy recently - I specifically asked not to have sedation - but was given it anyway, therefore against my wishes. Shortly after my procedure had finished I was given some tea and toast and was promptly sick and vomited. Over the following week I have found myself retching first thing in the morning and on other occasions not able to hold my food down after my main meal in the evening.
"Colonoscopy without sedation."
