"The dreaded wait"

About: James Paget University Hospital

The ward 6 I was recently unfortunate to be in for 10 days. The elderly dementia ladies were treated excellently, cannot praise enough. Why do the Auxillary nurses go deaf when the Toilet buzzer or for other reasons the patients need to get help, get ignored. even switched off over my bed and left. They are not always busy.I got very distressed, I am 75 and had fallen and needed operation on my knee.

I'm sorry that you were so distressed. I have passed your comments on to the team that manages this area, so they can look at the issues. If you would like to talk to someone about it, please do contact our Patient Advice and Liaison team - more details about them and contacts on our website at this link http://www.jpaget.nhs.uk/patients-visitors/patient-advice-liaison-service-(pals)-and-complaints/ Ann Filby, Head of Communications
