I would like to thank all of the midwives and doctors on duty 16/10/14 and 17/10/14 for taking such good care of my sister during her labour and difficult forceps birth. She was very anxious as it was her first child but she tells me the staff were absolutely marvellous with her, her husband and our Mum. She was treated with respect, informed about everything, and says the midwives genuinely cared about her and her baby, husband & mum. The attending Dr was wonderful at the forceps delivery, 1 midwife even held our Mum's hand all the way through and another who went off duty at 7pm called back at 10pm to see if my sister was OK. That is genuine compassion and you cannot teach people this - it comes from within! My sister cannot praise the Maternity Unit highly enough - you are a credit to your profession and to the hospital. Being a Matron myself - this is high praise and I know that they worked extremely hard throughout the evening, night and early morning helping my sister through her labour & birth. Thank you to each and every one of you - you should be justifiably proud. In the days where most are quick to criticise and pats on the back are rare ; this is a huge thank you !
"Thank you for the care of my sister who gave birth..."
