"A faultless performance"

About: Heatherwood Hospital

Having been diagnosed with bladder cancer, and had the cancer removed, I attended Heatherwood on October 13th for a cystoscopy to check whether there had been any recurrence of the disease. My appointment was for 9:00am, the receptionist had my name on her chart ready for entry, a thorough check of name DOB etc and I was then seen by the lead nurse, again a check on my medical condition, was I on any medication etc everything explained in detail and I was ready for the off at 9:00am sharp. The urologist, who remembered me from past treatment was friendly and professional and the examination was without any pain or discomfort. Thankfully, the comment 'see you in a year's time' was the news I wanted to hear and I was walking out of the hospital at 9:15am. In summary, from start to finish a faultless performance, well done Heatherwood. George Spinks

Dear Mr Spinks Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such positive feedback from your recent visit to Heatherwood Hospital. I'm delighted to hear your experience was a good one, and that the teams were organised, friendly and professional. This is what we aim for every time for every patient. I will pass your comments onto our Urology team, and to the Day Surgery Matron so they can share them with all the staff involved in your care. Best wishes Claire Marshall Associate Director of Patient Experience and Public Involvement
