"Colonoscopy"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I had a colonosopy carried out on Tuesday 14 October. At 53 years of age, this was my first time in hospital so obviously I was a nervous wreck! I had heard so many horrendous stories about Sunderland Royal that I almost used my savings and had the procedure carried out in a private hospital. How glad am I that I did not because from first going in, to coming out, nothing was too much trouble for any memer of staff I encountered. The procedure was carried out by a very reassuring, down to earth surgeon. In this day and age people are quick to complain but slow to praise, in my case, praise where it is due, thank you so very much for the care I received that day, I saw the NHS at it's best. Thanks again A very grateful first timer!
