"Worrying"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as a relative),

Struggled to get a response from staff to be let into ward (and watched others have same experience), signage unclear, staff using a trolley deliberately placed in front of a fire exit, staff using mobile computing stations and have to walk around them when in use, emergency cardiac equipment blocked by dirty laundry bags.

Matthew

It was Ward 24 for most of the comments and CDU for the comment linked to the cardiac equipment.

My partners mother is seriously ill and yesterday it took her over 5 minutes to get someones attention to let her in.

Both of us are ex members of staff and it was depressing to see what was once the flagship area of the Trust (the main Reception block) looking tired.

Twice my partner has had to point out to cleaning staff that there was no hand wash or toilet paper in the Ladies toilet.
