"We are more confident, have hope and reassurance"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Mental Health Services for Older People – Community (County)

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

Prior to Memory Assessment Service appointment we had no diagnosis and felt a bit frightened becasue we didn't know what to do or how to help Dad.

We felt listened to by the staff at the Memory Assessment Service and have benefitted tremendously and now feel we are more confident, have hope and reassurance.

We have been pointed in the direction of additional help via the Alzheimer's Society, Age UK and the Social Services.

Thank you for your kind comments and are pleased that your experience of the service has been a good one and hope that this will help others. As a small team we do our best to ensure that we provide the time and support needed to both patients and carers and to direct people to the appropriate services and support.
