"Some nurses have a bad attitude"

I am a relative visiting my Mother who is in ESH. Although there are many good and nice nurses, there are a few which seem to have a real problem.

Some sit by the desk whilst the buzzer is going off, and then walk at the slowest possible pace and talk to my mum like she is a child. On one day, she wasn’t up to sitting out on the chair and was made to, but wasn’t left with a buzzer, and when she called out for help because she was in pain, she was ignored. Another occasion, she was in a chair and asked for some help to get out, because my mum has trouble getting up. She was asking for help, but the nurse was impatient and after getting mum back in bed, told her she wasn’t helping her again.

As much as I can only praise the other nurses for their attentive, brilliant care and help they are giving my mum when they are so busy, I can only say that for the ones who act like they don’t want to be there... perhaps you should go home!
