I called Lincoln Hospital where I had an operation on both breasts recently and and had a drain removed and both dressings changed. (DX breast cancer 2013). My right leg had started to swell. The lady at Lincoln told me I must go to nearest A & E. Tried Skegness first but was told it may take 3hrs to see anyone. I was so sore from the op, drain and dressings I felt it best for my husband to take me straight to Boston A & E. 3/4 of an hours drive. I told the receptionist what I'd had done earlier at Lincoln and how sore I was. She told me to take a seat. An hour and a half later I felt like I was going to pass out. Also everyone seemed to go in and out before me. In the end I said I just wanted to go home. The receptionist (rudely I felt) asked me if that was a good idea. Yes I said I just wanted to go to bed.
