On September 25, 2014, while on a vacation trip from our home in California, my wife, Dianne, fell in Covent Garden and badly lacerated her lip and bruised her arm and hands. We hurriedly went to the nearest hospital, St Thomas,' at which we received outstanding care and attention from the A&E Emergency Nurse Practitioner. Her care was thorough, professional and compassionate. The lip laceration needed 5 stitches on the outside of the upper lip and 4 on the inside. The Nurse Practitioner did all of the stitching herself. It was of the level one would expect from an emergency service doctor. Dianne had the stitches removed in Paris 5 days later and the French doctor commented favorably on the quality of the stitching. It is now about three weeks after the accident and we are home in California; there is nothing but a faint red area where the stitches were and clearly no unsightly scar. Both of Dianne's doctors here in California who treat her for another condition told us that whoever stitched her up in England did a "very good job." In closing, we hope the Nurse Practitioner receives a copy of these comments. We also hope that she gets a special commendation for her outstanding efforts. Thank You.
"Outstanding St Thomas' ENP."
