"Foot surgery"

About: Dorset County Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a ganglion cyst removed from my foot last Monday and have followed the hospital's advice on keeping the foot elevated, moving my joints etc, but have had friends telling me I should be up and moving properly by now, as on the internet someone had the same surgery (in America) and was told to carry on about their normal daily routines.

What do I do, do I keep my foot elevated for the next week (as per DCH advice) or do I start back to my normal routine? ?

The nursing care I received was brilliant.
