"It's like One Flew Over The Cukoos Nest"

I spent nearly a month in this hospital I didn't feel safe and the staff were always too busy to talk. Forced to take drugs with dangerous side effects without anyone even explaining what the drugs were for. I don't blame the staff. how can nurses be compassionate when they themselves are stressed. Traumatising experience. After release made a full recovery without medication. There should be more emphasis on talking therapy instead of just drugging patients making them easier to control. My formal complaint has not been responded to. Also they don't wear uniforms making it difficult to to know if they are a nurse or porter. Is this because most staff are agency? Saw a different doctor every week, didn't feel like anyone really got to know me. They didn't take my physical health complaints seriously. Was shouted at often. Fainted in the toilet hitting my head on the concrete sick due to drowsiness from my medication. The good thing was the activities such as art, relaxation and tai chi. Gym was closed. They should have a better respect for people's spiritual beliefs and a knowledge of transpersonal psychology. Psychosis can be a natural healing brought on by trauma, like losing a loved one. They shouldn't be so quick to label people with "Mental Illness" it is disempowering, encourages a victim mentality and can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Also there is no scientific evidence that "Mental Illness's" are caused by a brain disease or are heredity. So why do all the staff believe that to be the case? Serious changes need to be made!!
