I have been in the children's ward twice in the last month, both times for a five might stay with our son. I imagine that when you are only in for a night you don't see the tireless work that the nurses and staff do on this ward. The care for both my son and myself was brilliant - nothing too much trouble for him or a timely hug or cup of tea for me.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Being in hospital with a child can be upsetting, both for the patient and the parent. Our team on the children’s ward always strive to take some of the stress away and make our young patients stay as comfortable as possible. The children’s ward is indeed a very busy ward but our staff always aim to deliver the highest standard of care, taking that extra effort to make sure that all patients are well looked after in a personal and professional way. It is always nice to be appreciated and we have passed your comments on to staff in the children’s ward.
