Arrived Friday after 5 days of suffering a swollen finger.Very painful. tender and could not touch anything.Following another throbbing night and on inspection at dawn.My finger had turned an unsightly green. Decision made by my wife I attended Altrincham small inj / clinic. Booked in approx 0900.Detailes given to a pleasant receptionist and seen within a few minutes by the duty Male nurse. Problem quickly identified as a bacterial infection.Course of action decided that it had to be lanced. Finger frozen then with a sharp blade.(I chanced one eye) Flesh was cut. That was not to bad .However the nurse decided that it had to be squeezed to eject the green fluid . My yelps of pain quickly disappeared as the pressure relief was very welcome. Finger then dressed and was invited back for assessment the following Sunday.!2 Oct 2014. My report is all 5*****. From the first approach with the Receptionist Lady. Treatment ,Assessment.Operation .Then final dressing. All completed within a 20 minute window. All staff were professional and a credit to themselves and Altrincham Hospital . A big thank you and well done to Altrincham Small injuries clinic. John Hancock Timperley
