"Not impressed with staff"

I visited yesterday to maternity triage due to tightenings and pressure (I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant) and entered triage at 9am. I was seen and hooked up to a monitor within half an hour very impressed by the service provided by maternity triage. They checked me out and advised that I would be going upto ward M2 to be monitored for a few hours to make sure I wasn't at risk of going into early labour and if I was they could stop it with steroid injections. All of which was fine with me as it was explained. They took me upto M2 at 12noon and that's where everything went wrong! I was shown to a bed by triage staff and told someone would be along to hook me upto the monitor shortly. At 12.45 one of the midwives attended to me and gave me painkillers. Asked if I was comfortable and then left me. I was never seen again. Both myself and my husband asked different midwives if they could update us on anything and each time were told my midwife was dealing with someone else and would see to me shortly. This never happened! By 6.30 I had not had any obs done, spoken to my midwife again or by any other midwife so I went to the reception desk to find my midwife sat at the desk. I asked what was happening as I had a 4 year old son at home with babysitters and no idea what to tell them. The midwife stated the doctor had just got onto the ward and I would be seen too but was at the end of a very long list and it would not be within the next 10 minutes!! We waited until 9pm and decided we had had enough of waiting. Not one member of staff checked me through when I attended on the ward. And seeing as though triage were concerned I was in early labour and they wanted me monitored to see if they could stop the contractions in time with steroids it was extremely pointless me being in the ward as if I was in early labour they would not have known until it was too late and my baby would have been on her way! I am extremely upset and disappointed with the level of treatment I received. I walked out of the ward at 9pm without telling any member of staff. It took until 11.30pm for them to realise I had left and rang me to see if I was okay. After ringing the ward today to tell them I was in fact okay and explain to them the reason I left they weren't interested in the slightest and simply said okay thanks and put the phone down! I am now anxious to have my baby at bolton within the next 7 weeks as I will not be returning to M2! So deeply upset and disappointed.
