"Hysterectomy 26.08.2014, 6 week check up"

If you have read my review of the hysterectomy you will know how totally fab I was treated and how pleased I was with everything. I have since had my 6 week check up on 8.10.2014 and yet again I could not have wished for better treatment from everyone involved. I had hoped to see the doctor who performed the operation to thank him, but it was a pleasure to meet his Specialist Registrar instead, who greeted me with a smile as he introduced himself. The registrar discussed my operation, the test results and future management plan in great detail and answered my many questions with great patience and a touch of humour where appropriate!! All the nurses were cheerful and I was told more than once that my care, dignity and support were their prime concerns. Again, a huge thank you to everyone. I've now been discharged into the care of the Clinical Nurse Specialists who will maintain telephone contact with me for the next few years and I look forward to their calls.
