I discovered I was pregnant and me and my fiance were over the moon. A month after I started to experience some bleeding and pain without going into details I knew something was wrong so I attended A and E. There I was refered to the Sonning clinic to have a scan the following day. When we arrived I met the first doctor who seemed very nice and kind after my scan it was decided I needed to have my Hgc levels checked as no sac was found in my uterus this was not explained clearly to me and I did not understand the reasons for the tests, this was explained to me by the nurse after my blood was taken. I arrived 48 hours later for my next blood test where I met the worst Doctor in the world he was casual, unprofessional and had zero people skills he took my blood and said to call for results but again wgayvthe results ment or the implications were not explained so I went home to anxiously wait to call at 6 when my mobile rang at 5.30 it was the same doctor he appeared to have no purpose for his call and I was forced to lead the conversation to discover the result I ask him is this bad news to which he replied no the pregnancy is unsuccessful (how is this not bad news) I became emotional and asked what I need to do next he said there is nothing that I need to do I passed the phone to my fiance as I was overcome with emotion the doctor then asked him why was I so upset!! My fiance told him it was because we have lost the baby he said that's silly there was no baby! My fiance tried to find out what we needed to do next he simply said come in Sunday.. It was Friday and my fiance said but she is bleeding and in pain the doctor said nothing can be done and to come in Sunday. We were confused and both upset so we drove to the Sonning ward to find out what was going on. Unfortunately the same doctor came to speak with us he said the result was good news as the levels had dropped I became annoyed and said how can you day this us good news we have lost out baby and again he said there was no baby!!! This is good news he said as you could of lost you falipon tube he then went on to scare me about how lucky I was that hadn't happened at that point he bought another nurse in who tried to re explain the situation by this point I just felt exhausted and numb the doctor left and a female doctor arrived she was lovely and empathised with my situation and for the first time acknowledged our loss she wanted at admit to hospital but I was still reeling from how the first doctor treated me so I went home after a few hours I was back in A and E with extreme pain and heavy bleeding I was frightened and confused at 3am the same female doctor came to take me the Sonning ward I prepared myself to be treated poorly but as soon as I got there the nurses were amazing the complete opposite to the doctor they were kind and caring especially one member of staff who want above and beyond to care for me It turned out I had an ectopic pregnancy which had began to cause internal bleeding
