My beautiful daughter was born just in the maternity unit at St. John’s Hospital, Livingston in September. A midwife named Leigh Henderson assisted me with my delivery and I just wanted to pass on how fantastic she was.
This was my first baby and I don’t know how I would have got through it if she had not been so lovely. She was so good at explaining what was happening and what I needed to do, as well as ensuring my husband and mum were involved in this special time. She was always so calm, so kind and yet so professional – she was just amazing and I just can’t thank her, and the other midwifery staff, enough for all their help. After the baby was born even though the unit was full and busy the staff took the trouble to make us all toast and tea.
I would also like to say thank you to the Community Midwife, Giselle, who was so cheerful and friendly during my antenatal visits.
We have a great NHS and people do not appreciate how lucky we are.
Thank You!
"Amazing Midwife during the birth of my first baby!"
