"Excellent treatment"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

My wife badly broke her elbow, and this involved our first 'taste' of an A&E Department. Whilst we were there one evening for 4.5hrs, we felt that everything had been carried out to a very professional , (and sympathetic), standard. We were also shown the x-rays before, and after, and arrangements were made for our first appointment at the fracture clinic, so we felt that the staff had been very informative and helpul. One non-medical comment, though. The directional signage to the Emergency entrance is lacking, which makes it particularly difficult to find at night.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding such a positive experience within the Emergency Department. We are pleased to note that you and your wife found all staff to be professional and sympathetic. We would also like to thank you for commenting on the signage and would like to assure you that this type of feedback is invaluable. We will of course, pass your comments on to the relevant members of staff for their information and action.
