What I liked
My father who is in his 90's was admitted via A&E after his GP had not dealt with his waterworks problems. I was very impressed by the standard and thoroughness of care shown by doctors and nursing staff but it was all painfully slow getting out of A&E and into a ward. Ward care was very good indeed and the food/hygeine of a good standard and to be frank little different from experiences I have had of private treatment. There was a surprising feeling of the ward being calm and relaxed.
Well done - I have always supported using private medical care if you can to keep the burden off the NHS but this was a good example of a hospital working pretty effectively.
