I went into Kingsmill on the 19/09/2014 for a hernia operation. I arrived at my scheduled time of 12:30 and was taken to a room of my own, and was told a nurse would be with me shortly. At 1:00 a nurse came into me and gave me a general check over, blood pressure and that, and explained what was going to happen. A little later the Anesthetist came in and explained what was going to happen when he gave me my General anesthetic, he then went on to ask if I had consider a spinal Anesthetic as there are less complications, plus I would be out of hospital sooner, I could tell he was pushing for this, even though I was all cleared for the General Anesthetic, but he once again informed me what was involved with the spinal and emphasized I would be out of hospital sooner. By now I was loosing my nerve, and was unsure of myself. he went away informing me he was going to talk to the surgeon about this. At 3:00 a nurse appeared and gave me some stockings fro DVT and to tell me to get changed as I was next, she gave me some pain killers and some ant-sickness tablets, and informed me they will be down in a bit to collect me. Five minutes later a commotion started outside of my room, a woman and her partner were shouting and hollering that this place is crap and worse, it was all calmed down, and then I heard two people outside my room, I assume nurses talking about what had just happened and what they were going to do, they decide to give this person my slot as I seemed very amicable. At 4:00 I informed a nurse I was not happy and I was fed up and was about to walk, she asked me not to walk, but at 4:15 I got changed and left. I was angry Fed up and had lost my nerve. I suffer from nerves as they well know. I feel I was treated unfairly decisions were taken out of my hands, and I had not been consulted about things such as loosing my slot. If shouting and hollering is a way to get things done then Kingsmill has got it wrong. I am an easy going person, but they took advantage of that, and that's not fair. I will never go or recommend Kingsmill again.
