"Ignorant, disrespectful and rude Doctors, very..."

About: Charing Cross Hospital

My mother who is 75 years old went to A+E concerned with blood clots, she has a history of PE'S is on warfarin and has suffered with two brain Haemorrages in a span of 2 weeks after being operate don in Charing Cross, when she explained to the doctor why she was concerned with a swollen and bruised foot whihc was warm to the touch she was absolutely humiliated by the man. He demanded to know what she thought he should do about it and why on earth was she in A+E and how she could come to the conclusion that it might be a blood clot....she was reduced to tears by this very disrespectful and ignorant man. Instead of asking her about her past history and checking her leg he dismissed her telling her she wasted his time and that it was an insect bite. Two days later we visited Hammersmith hospital only to be told it was a series infection, the haematology department treated it very seriously scheduling an immediate CT scan and X ray. The Charing Cross A+E doctor should take note and learn some manners especially as there are adverts posted around every hospital requesting patients to co-operate and treat the staff with respect they should also have the same rule for patients. A very impertinent and derogatory Doctor who should learn some manners and not be so quick to dismiss as this is very irresponsible behaviour from a professional that patients are supposed to trust. Disgusting! 29th September 2014
