An ordinary person like myself will always be beaten by the system. Whatever you say will be discounted and contradicted by far cleverer health officials. In my experience it's what they do They have the training & the resources to squash you. Something of what you will get in return for your complaint. At best an apology when it's to late. Or the patient is the problem he or she does not understand the system the choices or the advice or every trouble was gone to help the patient 2nd or third opinions were offered and given and on and on. However what we all have to remember we the people is that all organisations stick together to form them and us. So even whilst they proffer such sites as this one do not expect much from it.
After all the foregoing what is he rambling on about you will rightly say? Well it's too long a sorry for me to tell today largely because I am ill and in pain (awful pain). My main point today is the follow up after a short stay surgery. Do not expect to be able to contact your surgeon afterwards. They don't do talking to patients. Your only choice if your pain gets too bad is to dial 999
