"Doctor excellent, appointment booking poor"

About: Euston House Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I saw the doctor yesterday at Euston House. I was there for 2 hours. The doctor was excellent my complaint is that it took nearly 4 months to see him. My previous appointments were all cancelled including the one I came home from holiday to attend. A letter had been sent but we were away.

Thank you for your feedback which is much appreciated.Unfortunately TRAQS are only able to offer the appointments which are released by the hospital. Once a patient has chosen which hospital to attend and the referral has been passed electronically to their waiting list all future correspondance received will be from the hospital.

I appreciate your waiting time was longer than anticipated however, although your referral was processed by the TRAQS team the waiting time is managed by the hospital trust. As the service at Euston House is provided by Princess Royal Hospital NHS Trust/Royal Shrewsbury Hospital NHS Trust we are unable to comment on their behalf. The hospital do not have access to respond to comments within Patient Opinion therefore please may we direct you the Patient Advice Liaison Officer (PALS). They will be able to take your comments further on behalf of the individual hospital/clinic concerned.
