"A&E/Ambulance staff streets ahead of another trust"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My 24 yrs old daughter suffers from an extremely rare and horrendously painful condition (nutcracker syndrome). Unfortunately we are regular visitors to A&E for specialist pain treatment. My daughter occasionally comes to stay with me her mother up here in Leicester. LRH were superb the last 3 times we have attended, so much so I wish my daughters local trust GRH would take note and learn a few lessons from. Our thanks go to the exceptional care by the paramedics (from Narborough) booking in receptionists, nurses and another lovely sister and finally without doubt the doctor who followed, despite being so busy, her care plan and treated both me and my daughter with compassion and a listening ear. They were not patronising and really took time to understand her condition. Thank you LRH for making an otherwise very worrying life condition into a less stressful visit into an A&E.

Dear Alina, Thank you very much for your kind words. I am so happy to hear our department was able to provide your daughter with compassionate professional care in spite of it being so busy. This is something we are working towards for all patients at all times so thank you for the encouraging feedback! May we wish you and your daughter well. Sincerely, Pro Mukherjee Consultant in Emergency Medicine Leicester's Hospitals
