Attending VIN on a Monday is my only option for phlebotomy due to work commitments. This is not the first time that I have had to wait well over an hour for a blood test. I would suggest that this department is under resourced. Parking fees are also unacceptable as there is no alternative free parking nearby.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. The phlebotomy service at the Victoria Infirmary currently operates on a ‘walk in’ basis which can see a variety of different numbers of patients throughout the day. The Trust is currently reviewing the service and looking to improve the process for both patients requiring urgent and routine blood tests. I am unsure if you require blood tests regularly or intermittently. If you would like to contact the customer care team on 01270 278098 with your details then I will try to help you.
