What I liked
Wonderful clinical staff giving excellent care in the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit. I commend them to their managers and to other patients.
What could be improved
Two things:
-communications from RPH bookings are too standardised.
-day patients on the plastic surgery evening list are all booked surgery in together and then dealt with in turn. This means that the last to be dealt with could have waited 2-2.5 hours before surgery. A staggered admissions to match the slot in theatre would be an improvement.
Anything else?
In my experience RPH is clinically sound. Hospital design, location and vehicular transport issues are its Achilles heel.
