"Shocking treatment"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

was admitted to the day surgery ward under gyn consultant everything went really smoothly until two days before the surgery date when I was contacted to change the date of the surgery, emergency's happen this is understandable but then the day before the surgery the time changed of admission. unfortunately the operation was not successful and I have to return for the same procedure again. this was booked in for a set date letter received all fine time off work organised kids organised and my husbands time off work organised. However once again three days before I get a phone call with change of date again my boss was not happy as he had arranged cover I had arranged childcare but I suppose what must be must be. The morning after this phone call I get a text message confirming my original appointment time and date and to ring to confirm I was attending, I rang the hospital to find out what was going on to be told they were not sure and would ring me back, After 6 hours I rang back myself to be told it had been changed and to ignore the message. The afternoon before my admission at 7am I have yet again been contacted by the ward to change my admission time to 11.30am . I am confused to how this can be acceptable I have three kids both myself and my husband work full time , I am not allowed to be discharged unless he picks me up yet this could be anytime I, I have had to arrange and unarrange childcare several times now at my cost , my boss has only given me the day off so I now have no recovery time and the only response I have had from the ward is the consultant runs his own list and there is more urgent cases than yours , ironically the last visit to the consultant told me the cells I have are very close to turning into cancer if not treated sooner rather than later , not sure how much serious this needs to be . Amongest all this people seem to be forgetting the mental force this has on myself as the patient I mentally prepare myself for the procedure only to be let down again . I can honestly say this is the worst treatment I have ever been offered by a medical facility and at this moment in time I am feeling like a number in the system not an actual patient
