"I went to the Emergency with my ..."

About: The Whittington Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

I went to the Emergency with my son of 2years and an half as he had heart his ankle. I was worried my son had seriously damadged hid legaments or tendons. The ward was very clean, there were toys and even video games in the waiting room and toys also in the ward which helped to distract my son. We were seen quickly by the nurse and the doctor. It was a junior doctor but communication showed to be good with senior doctor. X rays were also done quickly in a children friendly way. The thing I liked most was having been offered a following up appointment ne next week to check everything was fine. It really gave a peace of mind! The following week we sow a senior doctor, he visited my child and checked again the X rays even the toddler is doing fine. I left very satisfied.

What could be improved

to have more services like this in other hospitals, this was a wonderful experience which did not add stress to stress but in other occasion in an other hospital it was completely different. Services should be good standards everywhere in the country, it is distressful thinking to playing lottery at times when you or your family feels most vulnerable. Why NHS does not have "mistery patients" that go around and check what the standards are without warning the managers of their visits?

Anything else?

keep up with the good work!
