"Patronising and unhelpful staff"

About: Circle-Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre

Was called in by reception staff for discussion about blood test results. Asked if there was a problem and after receptionist asked nurse I was told there were no problems. Asked if my GP would have the results and could I see him as it would be much easier for me. Was told yes but on phoning GP surgery was told that they had no results. Turned up for appointment at treatment centre and said it would have been easier to get the blood test results from GP as it took me an hour to get to the hospital and was told in a very unsympathetic way that the member of staff had to do the same journey twice a day every day. It then turned out that appointment was actually a diagnostic one and a letter saying this had been sent to me. As I hadn't received it it was read out to me from the computer screen. I said it would have been useful to have the information before the appointment and was told that the doctor had many patients not just me and that I was lucky to be seen as if I lived in a different area I would have had to wait a lot longer. Very unpleasant way to be told bad news.
