Whilst visiting our Grandad, on the evening of the 26th within the short space of time that the family was there we witnessed disgusting disregard to other 2 patients dignity. Both asking for help to get to the toilet. Not at the same time I might add. Being that we were in the neighbouring bed, we went to the nurses station and mentioned that these 2 people needed help and being flippantly told "yeah" in an uncaring manner and then they carried on with their personal chat about their private lives l, which meant both men had accidents. Now I know you will argue the point of staff cuts and I know that nurses are underpaid and overworked. But pass this on, the country needs to have more nurses to be able to cope with the high needs of our sick elderly patients. Everyone has the right to be able to use the toilet when they need to. I was overwhelmed with emotion by my visit experience, Weston Super mare hospital. Not a nice place for elderly patients.
