"Lack of communication"

My Mum is special to me. I am her main next of kin (eldest daughter), and I have been asked to be kept in touch of any changes. Unless I make myself available waiting 4 hours on one occasion for an update on my Mum's condition. To then make requests to move my a Mum back to the Hospital, she was previously staying with since June to Sept, I was given some reason that due to her location she does not live in the area to go back to the previous hospital! After accepting this & feeling the Dr's were actually listening & taking good care of my Mum. She was moved 24hrs before I found out by just turning up at the ward & bay she was previously at to find she was moved. Then to be told the wrong ward. Luckily I did find helpful staff who did help & I even found my Mum. She is in a bed that doesn't have safety guard to preventing her falling. Plus her sleep apnea machine was yards away from her to reach. My Mum's wellbeing is my main concern. I feel if I don't raise this concern & just deal with this locally, that nothing will change. It is unacceptable the way my Mum has been treated & the lack of information the hospital staff have communicated when they have made decisions without involving my Mum & I to make sure is able to understand. She was sent to various tests but when I asked what they were for she wasn't sure, thought it was something to do with infection in her liver. My Mum has been complaining of pain since she arrived in ward 2. The Dr put this down to post resuscitate pain. I will aim to find out exactly today what the Dr's are planning for her.
