We're really sorry that you feel this way, but this suggests that whilst his operation is urgent, his life is not in immediate danger. This is sometimes why such operations can get cancelled, when a hospital becomes very busy with patients needing immediate life or limb-saving surgery. But we appreciate that does not make it any less distressing for those affected - such as you and your husband. We know that our staff will be doing everything they can to get this matter sorted for you both, as they don't want to upset you anymore than can be helped. If you have not done so already, please do ask to speak with the duty matron as part of their role is to help people in your situation.
